Day 204 – Switchback Bench

I’ve been sitting on the Bench for quite a while today. One because it turned out to be such a lovely day. When I left the house it was foggy and cold, but now it is sunny and warm. I’m also sitting here waiting to see if the river level drops enough to cross the […]

Day 203 – Northern Bench

The river level is pretty much the same as it was the other day. There’s a little bird up here in the tree. It is singing so sweetly. I’m sure you’d be able to hear it in the recording. As much as I love it when the river floods, I do miss being able to […]

Day 202 – Lily Pond Bench

There is so often Eastern Rosellas in the big gum tree at the Lily Pond. Today, there’s also some very pregnant looking cows in the field behind. They’re all black cows. Some of them came to say hello to me.

Day 201 – Northern Bench

The river is up even higher today. The legs of Northern Bench are in the water. I love seeing the the river go up and down. It’s a beautiful sunny morning. It’s meant to be nice for the next few days. The flood isn’t as high as last year though. The whole other bank isn’t […]

Day 200 – Switchback Bench

The cascades are so loud today. I wonder if you’ll be able to hear that in the recording. I’m sitting up on the Bench. The footbridge is completely underwater. I wanted to come up here after seeing how high the water was at Private Bench yesterday. Unfortunately, someone has decided to machete the Bench here. […]

Day 199 – Private Bench

The river is up again. It’s all the spring storms we’ve had lately. As you can see from the photo, the water is right up around the legs of the Bench. I’m sitting on the back of the Bench with my feet on the edge of the seat. I love Private Bench when the river […]

Day 198 – Back Deck Bench

It’s a very blustery spring day. I’m sitting in my backyard. I found a notebook from years ago. I wrote a lot in it during one of those workshops that promises to work through your issues. This notebook contains a history of my life, but only of all the issues, so it’s full of hurts, […]

Day 197 – Oval Bench

It’s so windy out here and I have a headache. It’s actually not that pleasant. But it’s always good to get outside anyway. Makes me feel like I’ve achieved something.

Day 196 – Back Deck Bench

It is so cold out here today that I am shivering. The wind is like ice. It’s typical spring – warm one day, freezing the next. It’s been raining on and off. There’s another big storm coming, but for now, the sunset is reflecting on the wet back deck. I was hoping to have a […]

Day 195 – Front Deck Bench

I don’t sit out here very often. My back deck feels more private. There’s a big storm coming. I’m watching the rain roll through. I’m out here because I’m having my windows cleaned and inside the house is full of workmen with cleaning cloths and ladders. The front yard is full of bulbs. These blue […]
