Well, it’s official. The river has flooded, and it is higher than the highest flood we saw last spring. It’s so impressive. All of the Benches are under the water. There is nothing quite like the power of nature.

Last night and today it has rained constantly. There’s frogs in the puddle behind my back fence once again. It’s another very quiet day down at the river. Except for the birds, they are all singing this morning. I see Edward cruising down the river. There’s a little bit of sunshine but the wind is still cold. I hear baby magpies everywhere.

So we threw our flowers, and watched them stream away in a long line. There was purple, yellow, white, blue and pink flowers all floating away on a blue ocean under a blue sky. I threw my Dutch iris first. It’s always such a beautiful way to remember someone. Now, I’m sitting at the Bench […]

It’s a windy, windy day today. I was sitting on the Bench in the sun when I saw this little blue wren preening in the tree next to me. See if you can spot him in the photo.

It feels quiet down at the river today. There’s only the sound of the water and the birds.
