I haven’t been posting lately. I’ve still been sitting on the benches though. Lily Pond Bench, By the Way Bench, Back Deck Bench, the Other Side Bench and even down at Pier Bench. The pier was beautiful, I sat out there all alone listening to sound of ripples gently slapping on the underside of the pier. But I haven’t felt like posting. I haven’t wanted to find the words. I haven’t wanted to tell anyone anything about it.
I think it’s because something beautiful happens when you sit on the bench. You really are just in the moment, it’s an experience, and experiences don’t necessarily have to have words. There’s things that happen, when you just sit there, subtle things within yourself when you quietly let everything relax and just let your awareness open. Things happen that words don’t do justice to. That’s been the case for me over the last couple of weeks anyway.
But today, I felt like sharing. I also felt like sharing this amazing, really friendly little Gang-gang Cockatoo. They are one of my favorite birds. He’s in a tree, eating seeds while keeping an eye on me, and throwing the empty pods down to the ground. My favorite birds are probably the Black Cockatoos. These are much smaller than the Black Cocktoos. These are grey with a bright red crest.
