The sky’s uniform grey. It’s a cold spring day. I’m sitting here in a thick wool jumper, smelling the faint smoke from someone’s wood heater.
I saw a platypus today. As I first sat down, I saw his sleek little brown shape, and a rather large splash as he dove quickly.
There’s also so many birds today. There’s a flock of little Swallows darting around catching bugs just above the water, some noisy Red Wattlebirds scolding each other, and lots of those beautiful little olive green White-plumed Honeyeaters. There’s also a pair of Wood Ducks that I often see here, and a Dusky Moorhen on the other bank. I love sitting here.
