I climbed up into the tree today, and I’m actually lying down on one of its wide, almost horizontal, branches. I’m looking up at the sky, watching all the birds flittering around. There’s a Willie Wagtail skimming water bugs off the surface of the river. We also saw a flock of Red-browed Finches on the way down which was a treat.
The photo is of one of the nesting hollows in the Big Old Tree, from when it dropped a branch.
