As I was sitting here, I saw this Red Wattlebird just dive down to dip into the water. He came back three or four times. I was surprised to see him taking a bath in such deep water. In the photo, he’s just come out and he’s flying back to the tree.
There’s also a pair of Dusky Moorhens, and I can tell they’re building a nest in one of the trees by the river. They keep collecting grasses from the bank and taking it in to the same place in the tree.
