This always has been one of my favourite Benches. There is just such a gentleness here, a peacefulness, a softness and a sweetness.
Today, I was sitting here quietly and a mother duck was swimming down the river leading her little ducklings. They are the first baby ducks I have seen this spring. Unfortunately, as I went to take a photo, she saw me and they swam off across the river before I could get a better photo.
