It’s a hot, humid, still day. Thunderstorms are coming. There are dark clouds building on the horizon. Just in the last five minutes there’s also been the odd breath of a cool breeze. The change in the air system tells me it’ll probably rain soon. But for now it is hot and still. The water in the Lily Pond is very dark because it’s reflecting the dark sky. And because of the heat, the pine needle scent is even stronger from the pine trees behind the Bench.
