Day 194 – Oval Bench

I made it out to the Bench early today. It’s funny because the forecast says it’s meant to rain but at the moment, it is sunny and the sky is blue. And it’s not windy. It was cold overnight though, and the grass is still covered in millions of tiny sparkling droplets of dew.

Day 193 – Back Deck Bench

Sitting out here today, I feel hopeful. I feel excited to see what will come next. It’s such a wonderful feeling, particularly as lately I haven’t felt this way very much.

Day 192 – Back Deck Bench

It’s the most perfect spring day. The sky is blue. The air is cold, but my back deck is sheltered from the wind. The sun is so warm. My peach tree has sprouted. It has pink blossoms everywhere.

Day 191 – Other Side Bench

It is a truly beautiful day. What a perfect day for the first official day of spring. It is sunny and glorious. I’m sitting here in the warm sun on the picnic rug listening to the wind in the trees and the sound of the birds.

Day 190 – Private Bench

I’m not sure what to take a picture of today. It’s a bit of a grey day. It was windy earlier, but it’s calm now. There’s two Eastern Rosellas up in the tree above the Bench. I don’t usually see them here. I see them more often at the Lily Pond. I still haven’t thought […]

Day 188 – Blue Wren Bench

When I got to the Bench today, it was covered in these amazing, tiny gum nuts. They almost look like some kind of exotic spice. I’ve sat here for a long time on the Bench today. I’ve known for many years that I carry so much guilt. I feel guilty for things that rationally, I […]

Day 187 – Private Bench

It’s a truly glorious, almost spring, morning. The sun is out, but the air is fresh. It’s very very breezy. Edward’s been around a lot. In the photo, he’s steaming up river, trailing a ‘V’ shaped wake behind him.

Day 186 – Switchback Bench

The wind is roaring through the trees at the moment. It’s a very blustery day, the leaves are being stripped off the trees. But the little trees beside the bench here have just started to sprout for spring. I can see the little green buds on their bare twigs. Sitting on the bench today, I […]

Day 185 – Northern Bench

It is a cold, breezy day down by the river. I have a woolly hat and gloves, and a jacket on and I’m still freezing. Edward is here though. It’s so fun to watch him with his bright orange beak and feet. He’s finding food in the grass in the river.
