I’m not sure what to take a picture of today. It’s a bit of a grey day. It was windy earlier, but it’s calm now. There’s two Eastern Rosellas up in the tree above the Bench. I don’t usually see them here. I see them more often at the Lily Pond. I still haven’t thought […]

Day 175 – Lily Pond Bench
It’s very windy today. The clouds are racing across the sky. It’s raining on and off. The sun comes out, and then it rains, then the sun comes out again. I’m at the Lily Pond with the frogs. I’m not feeling peaceful today. I’m feeling like I need to keep walking faster and further instead, […]
Day 174 – Big Old Tree Bench
I walked down past the Big Old Tree today. I always thought the Big Old Tree was the end of how far you could walk, but it turns out it’s not. There’s no path really, and I think it might be on private property, but I’ve come down to part of the river where I’ve […]
Day 169 – Back Deck Bench
I’m out here at sunset. There’s crickets and frogs. It’s always good to come outside. It changes things up, and changes the way you think. When something’s tough, try stepping outside.
Day 161 – Lily Pond Bench
The sound of the wind in the pine trees is such a Lily Pond Bench sound. Also the frogs, they are a very Lily Pond Bench sound. I took a photo of the brand new baby pine cones. The trees are covered in them.
Day 73 – Lily Pond Bench
I was sitting very still on the Bench today just enjoying the moment, when this tiny, fuzzy caterpillar with an amazing headpiece started trekking past me. His furry little ‘feathers’ ruffle very smoothly and rhythmically as he walks. He’s magnificent in his tiny-ness. He doesn’t seem to mind that he’s so tiny and that his […]
Day 52 – Private Bench
The sky’s uniform grey. It’s a cold spring day. I’m sitting here in a thick wool jumper, smelling the faint smoke from someone’s wood heater. I saw a platypus today. As I first sat down, I saw his sleek little brown shape, and a rather large splash as he dove quickly. There’s also so many […]
