Day 258 – Little Pier Bench

I’ve taken a walk down to the waterfront in town. Even out here on the little pier, it feels so busy with all the traffic going past. I guess I’m used to all the quiet out in the country.

Day 229 – Pier Bench

So we threw our flowers, and watched them stream away in a long line. There was purple, yellow, white, blue and pink flowers all floating away on a blue ocean under a blue sky. I threw my Dutch iris first. It’s always such a beautiful way to remember someone. Now, I’m sitting at the Bench […]

Day 225 – Promenade Bench

It’s very calm today. There’s no wind. There’s very little swell so the ocean is like a lake. The ocean is all silver, gray and purple and reflecting the sky. I think it’s going to rain soon though it’s very humid and there’s storm clouds on the horizon.

Day 182 – Summit Turnoff Bench

It is so beautiful here. I’m sitting, waiting for the others to come back. They’re exploring a little further down the path. I’ve got a view of a lake and a big rocky outcrop. It’s so still and quiet I can hear a kookaburra laughing on the other side of the valley. I’m sitting here, […]

Day 181 – Jim’s Bench

The air is fresh and cold, but the sky is blue. The mountains have been in cloud all morning and they’re just coming out now. I took the photo right as a huge flock of ibises were flying over. How good is it to be outside, looking at a beautiful view.

Day 180 – Jim’s Bench

The view from the Bench looks very different this morning. I can’t even see the mountain range. It’s too foggy. There’s just the trees in the field, the big old gum trees, looming out of the mist. I can see that the sun is trying to shine through, and above me the sky is blue, […]

Day 179 – Jim’s Bench

Another new Bench. This one is called Jim’s Bench. It’s got lots of birds and some frogs, and an absolutely gorgeous view of the mountain range. I can’t wait to see it at sunrise because this mountain range will be lit up instead of back lit. There’s lots of parrots, and ibises and also some […]

Day 165 – Promenade Bench

A new Bench. I haven’t decided what to call it yet, maybe Promenade Bench? It has a great view. There’s been a lot here for me at the Bench today. There’s a bit of sadness. There’s a bit of guilt. I really was feeling quite terrible when I sat on the Bench today. There’s feelings […]

Day 100 – Warnertown Bench One

It’s sunset! It is beautiful by the pond here. We’re on holidays again. I’m going to call this Warnertown Bench One. There’s lots of crested pigeons here and when they fly, they make this particular sound. It goes like ‘brrrrr’ as they fly by. So many birds are coming at sunset to the pond. I’ve […]
