It looks very different out here this morning. It’s all misty. The sun is trying to rise behind some trees on the hills to the east. I can see a faint glow on the horizon. But it feels warm, so you can tell it’s going to be another hot day.

New Years Day. First day of 2023! I love new years. I love the fresh start. I feel very excited for this year. We came down to the beach for a swim first thing in the morning. Now we are heading home as the crowds are moving in. It’s going to be a hot day.

It’s a very different Little Pier Bench tonight. New Years Eve. There’s a beautiful sunset happening, and very soon there will be fireworks. We’re going to sit out here on the pier. It’s very crowded on the shore. It’s not as crowded on the pier because it’s windier out here.
