Day 186 – Switchback Bench

The wind is roaring through the trees at the moment. It’s a very blustery day, the leaves are being stripped off the trees. But the little trees beside the bench here have just started to sprout for spring. I can see the little green buds on their bare twigs. Sitting on the bench today, I […]

Day 176 – Switchback Bench

There’s a big group of honeyeaters next to me. They’re having an argument about something. I’ve been sitting on the Bench for quite a long time today. I was hoping I would feel better like I so often do here. But today, there’s just a lot of sadness, a lot of uncertainty, a lot of […]

Day 166 – Switchback Bench

It’s a lovely day today. It’s not as cold as it has been. There’s a little bird singing close by to the river. I’m going to see if I can find him. And if I can find him, I’m going to take a picture and write later what it was. Note: It was a new […]

Day 164 – Switchback Bench

The bridge is well out of the water. It’s clear by at least a full meter. But it’s covered in piles of debris like this pile in the photo.

Day 155 – Switchback Bench

The footbridge is officially underwater today. You can still see the faint outline, and the way the flow of the water changes as it goes over the bridge.
