Day 364 – By the Way Bench

It’s another perfect day at the By the Way Bench. I just love sitting here with all the birds and the clouds in the sky and the breeze in the trees. Today I think I saw a Golden Whistler. I have to go look it up to make sure because I haven’t seen one in […]

Day 361 – By the Way Bench

There’s a big flock of Red-rumped Parrots here. They’re picking through the grass, and there’s some whistling to each other in the trees. There’s also a Bronzewing pigeon that I don’t see here very often. There’s all kinds of little interesting birds. New Holland Honeyeaters. Some type of either Swallows or Tree Martins. The White-plumed […]

Day 358 – Lal Lal Bench

I’m glad this Bench was one of the ones in the last week of doing this. It’s so peaceful. There’s so much space. I can see the horizon. I’ve never seen anyone else out here. I saw a Yellow-rumped Thornbill on the way here. I’m underneath a pine tree and, because it’s a windy day, […]

Day 357 – Private Bench

I don’t even know what to say tonight. It’s just the Corellas. There’s no ignoring them, they are everywhere. Today, I did see a Collared Sparrow-hawk in my backyard though. That was pretty cool.

Day 351 – Other Side Bench

There’s a very gentle breeze sitting here. The late afternoon sun is dappling through the leaves. I saw two Black Cockatoos fly over before. They are one of my favourite birds.

Day 350 – Addis Bench

It’s windy at the beach, and not hot. I went for a swim before though and the water was lovely. The only birds here at the moment are the Seagulls.

Day 349 – Private Bench

The flock is here today. They are getting ready to roost tonight. All of the trees are full of them.

Day 348 – Pettavel Bench

I haven’t been here in a long time, but I like it just as much as the first time. This morning there was a bit of fog. But most of its disappeared now. There’s Magpies singing in the field. I saw some Noisy Miners too.

Day 346 – Lily Pond Bench

There’s a big flock of Sulphur Crested Cockatoos at the Lily Pond today. There’s also the usual Eastern Rosella flock that I often see here. I saw some Pigeons and the Noisy Miners. I haven’t been here in a while and it’s really nice to be back. Over the next few weeks I might try […]

Day 345 – Back Deck Bench

Can you hear the little Wrens singing? I was sitting here on the back deck and this little Wren was in the peach tree beside me. They bring so much joy. They just seem like such positive little birds.
