Day 78 – Devil’s Bench

This is the busiest I’ve ever seen it here. For the first time, it feels a little bit like a tourist attraction. There’s a couple young families, picnicking and fossicking through the old gold mining slurry heaps. There’s a young couple walking their dog. And there’s also what looks like a serious wildlife photographer or bird watcher. He’s got very high tech binoculars, a huge telephoto lens on his camera, and he’s wearing camouflage.

Some of the kids are swimming in the creek in their clothes. Their Dad is telling them they’re going to be cold later. Kids don’t care about that kind of thing.

There’s also a huge Wedge Tailed Eagle, soaring around above the rocks on the cliff.
