Now that I’m sitting here, I realise how much I’ve missed sitting at this bench. I love how much greenery there is beside the river, and I love this huge magnificent river gum. At this time of year, it’s shedding its bark so it has this beautiful, shiny, coppery trunk.
The river is flowing gently. It’s slow and brown and so much narrower than in winter. The causeway to the other side is now dry and I can cross the river easily.
