It’s exciting! I’ve been wondering if this would happen. The last time I walked past the Lily Pond, I saw something that either looked like new rolled up lily leaves, or the buds of flowers. It turns out, it was the buds of flowers and this is just the first of them. I imagined the whole pond will be covered later on because there’s so many buds.
The flowers are so beautiful. I want to take a close up photo of one. Next time I come, I’m going to bring my gumboots to wade out into the pond to get a close up.
As I was walking to the Bench today, there was a huge Wedge-tailed Eagle circling high above in the sky. Way, way, way up there, so high. There’s nothing quite like watching a bird soar in the sky.
