The first thing I saw when I came down here, was the Red Wattlebird taking a bath again.
It’s amazing how quickly the river level drops. Already I can see ripples where the water’s just barely covering the causeway. It feels like only last week that it flooded again. But now it looks like the river level is at 1.1 meters.
All the areas that were underwater and now so brown with mud.
