Day 292 – Mt Lofty Bench

We’re at the Mt Loft Botanic Gardens. I just saw really tiny little Eurasian Coot babies for the first time. They were so young, they still had the orange yellow feathers around their faces. These gardens are so beautiful, I’m going to have to put in more photos of flowers and a Bench. There’s so […]

Day 291 – Murray View Bench

It is windy down by the river today. The willow trees’ branches are swaying in the wind above the Bench.

Day 290 – Murray View Jetty Bench

Sunset on the river, on our own private little jetty. We’ve been here before and loved it, so we came back. All the Welcome Swallows are darting around catching mosquitoes.

Day 289 – Side of the Road Bench

We stopped to take a a break on our road trip. Already the bird songs are different. My son spotted this little Bearded Dragon. He’s sun baking beside a hole. I wonder if the hole is where he lives?

Day 288 – Lily Pond Bench

I’m over the other side of the Lily Pond today. There’s some lilies quite close to the edge that I want to take photo of. A White-faced Heron just flew over. That’s what I can hear. There’s a lot of birds around today. The Kookaburras were laughing before, and the Blue Wrens are standing on […]

Day 287 – Private Bench

I’ve put in a couple huge days at work lately. So it feels so good to sit on the Bench. I’ve been trying to tidy things up at work before I go away on holidays in a couple days. I’m very excited. I’m going to post from some exciting new Benches. Private Bench is covered […]

Day 286 – Lily Pond Bench

It’s a warm morning, and because it’s so warm the sun has heated up all the pine needles making them release their smell. It also smells like dandelions out here today. I had to take a photo of this field of dandelions, even though they are weeds not wildflowers.

Day 285 – Lily Pond Bench

You know it’s summer when you start seeing the Blue-Tongue Lizards out and about in the sun. We saw this guy on the path.

Day 284 – Other Side Bench

The first thing I saw when I came down here, was the Red Wattlebird taking a bath again. It’s amazing how quickly the river level drops. Already I can see ripples where the water’s just barely covering the causeway. It feels like only last week that it flooded again. But now it looks like the […]

Day 283 – Lily Pond Bench

The Blue Wren is here, standing on top of the reeds again. You might even be able to hear them. The Lily Pond is full of flowers. It’s a lot deeper than it has been at this time of year than last year. There’s a very clear divide between where the water is shallow enough […]
