It’s rained so much over the last few days that there is a puddle in between the two tennis courts. It’s quite deep too. We have had the craziest weather lately. It’s been so windy, and raining for the last three days. I bet the river’s flooding again.

Early morning down at the river. It is windy, but a bit sunny, and it rained all night last night. The Moorhen is here again. I love it when the air is fresh, breezy and sunny and everything has been washed clean by the rain.

Today smells like honey. All of the Acacia blossoms are falling off the trees. They are lining the path and it makes everything smell like floral honey. I just saw that the same Kookaburra that was here the other day, is in the same tree. I might go take another photo. I wonder if he’s […]

Another new Bench. I’ve been here before, but never sat and benched. I just love being out in the country, where there’s no traffic, no people, no busyness. I love to breathe the fresh air, look at the clouds in the sky and watch the grass waving in the wind.

There’s all kinds of birds here. They are mostly water birds, but there’s also a bird of prey, circling around above the thickest reeds. I think it’s because he knows there’s nests in the thick reeds. I saw a new bird today. It’s very distinctive, and I can’t wait to look it’s name up. It […]

I couldn’t even get to the Bench today. Huge storms have been rolling through last night and this morning. The Lily Pond has overflowed all over the path. I’ve never seen it like this before, I guess it’s because it rained so recently.

Wow! I just saw a big snake. I’m not sure what type of snake it is, but I avoid all snakes whether I know if they’re poisonous or not. I was surprised to see it because it wasn’t particularly sunny and it’s kind of late in the day.

Saw our resident teenage Magpie this morning. He’s in the middle in the photo.

I saw the Wood Duck family again! The ducklings are so grown up. There’s still five teenagers and their parents.
