Day 281 – Back Deck Bench

It’s a lovely sunny morning with a blue sky. Lots of birds, and lots of flowers around.

Day 280 – Lily Pond Bench

No words today… and no recording, just this proud Moorhen strutting through the reeds.

Day 279 – Back Deck Bench

I’ve sat out on my back deck in the sun for at least an hour. It’s the most beautiful sunny day, and it just feels so calm and peaceful. The baby apples on the apple tree are coming along well.

Day 278 – Switchback Bench

It’s like an informal flood marker. Is the ‘U’ shaped lowest part of this tree branch in the water? Today, it is. The last time I took a photo here, it wasn’t.

Day 277 – Big Old Tree Bench

The Kookaburras are here, laughing away in the trees. We also saw the family of Wood Ducks. I think they slept the night at Private Bench and then they flew down the river past us and landed. I can also see some White-Faced Herons in the trees to, having and argument. I might go closer […]

Day 276 – Other Side Bench

It looks like the river level is at about three metres. Everything is muddy, the path is still muddy, there’s silt and mosquitoes everywhere. I really do want to get a telephoto lens. This morning, I walked past Private Bench. I couldn’t get to it because of a puddle, but the Wood Duck family was […]

Day 275 – Pettavel Hill Bench

Today, I’m wondering about how much to dare to dream. I feel like I used to dream as lot, and very big, and then over the years, I started to dream less and less because i wanted to avoid the disappointment of when you dream something and it doesn’t come true. A new Bench. This […]

Day 274 – By the Way Bench

I just love sitting here. Sometimes there’s just no words for it. You really just have to feel it for yourself. I wonder if, listening to the recording of all the birdsongs and the breeze in the trees, you can get the feeling of the softness and the sweetness that is here. Edit: The picture […]

Day 273 – Lily Pond Bench

The path to the Pond has dried so now I can walk on it. There’s a flock of Superb Wrens here, perching on the reeds. I haven’t seen that before. While I don’t see many people sitting on benches, today as I was approaching, there was three magpies sitting on the Bench. As I got […]

Day 272 – Northern Bench

The river has flooded again. Not as high, but high enough for the whole path to be underwater again. Only the back of Northern Bench is showing. On the bright side, the birds love it. I’m looking at a pair of Chestnut Teals across the other side of the river. They’re in what used to […]
